The Chamber has two "business to business
fairs" and one "job fair" every year.
The MRCC "B to B" fairs have a reputation for providing
a quality opportunity to showcase your business and connect to others
who want to learn about your business services and products. Vendors
at our "B to B" fairs have told us that they successfully transact business
right at our fairs and make connections that help to increase their
bottom line.
In October, the Chamber hosts its Business Fair in connection
with "Trenton Small Business Week." This Fair is the largest business
fair in the county. With over 120 vendors and 2400 attendees, the fair
is an excellent opportunity for a business to share its services and
products with fellow business people. Due to the tremendous success
of this event, the Chamber added a second business fair that takes place
in Hamilton Township in April. This fair, dubbed the "Hamilton- Washington
Connection" provides an additional excellent opportunity for businesses
to connect.
After surveying our members and learning that there is a huge challenge in recruiting talent, the Chamber embarked on a new trade show opportunity. In January 2005, the "Career Connections Job Fair" hosted over 70 vendors and attracted over 1400 job candidates. Vendors and job prospects alike were very pleased with the level of diversity offered at this fair, from entry level positions to management positions, from professional vendors to state, public advocacy and retail vendors.
